
Community Justice Advocate

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and support to Community Justice Groups, assisting them in delivering services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims and offenders within the justice system.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the court system, including judicial officers, government agencies, non-government organizations, and community leaders.
- Enhance the capability of Community Justice Group staff, members, and Murri Court Elders/Respected persons through training and development initiatives.
- Monitor program performance and data indicators by analyzing financial and operational reports, ensuring compliance with Service Agreements.
- Administer grants on the SmartyGrants system, preparing reports, briefing materials, and correspondence for various audiences.
- Lead conflict resolution efforts and negotiate positive outcomes across all CIP programs.
- Manage specialized projects for Indigenous Justice Programs, driving forward strategic objectives.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Indigenous justice issues and cultural competency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in grant administration, program management, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to analyze complex data and prepare insightful reports.
