About Our Day Centre

We provide day respite and social connection for older adults living with dementia.

The Opportunity

We seek an experienced professional to join our Board as a Director. As a Director, you will play a vital role in guiding the strategic direction, governance, and sustainability of our organisation.

You will join at a pivotal moment as we embark on delivering a refreshed strategic plan, expanding community partnerships, and evolving our model to meet changing needs of older adults and their families.

About You
  • Purpose-driven, with a commitment to enhancing lives of people living with dementia
  • Experienced in one or more of the following areas: aged care, dementia support, clinical governance, fundraising, marketing, or community engagement
  • Collaborative and curious, bringing fresh ideas and thoughtful oversight
  • Comfortable in a hands-on, small-organisation setting

We are especially interested in candidates who reflect diversity of the community we serve and bring professional experience in clinical governance as it relates to ageing, caregiving, or dementia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight in line with our Constitution and values
  • Monitor and support implementation of our strategic plan and budget
  • Uphold strong governance, financial, and risk management practices
  • Participate in quarterly Board meetings, annual general meeting, and relevant committee work
  • Act as an ambassador for our organisation, helping to grow relationships and reach
  • Contribute to ongoing review and development of Board policies and processes
