Job Opportunity: Therapeutic Practitioner
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate therapeutic practitioner to join our team in Mount Isa, Queensland. As a key member of our program suite, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality services to families and young people who have experienced trauma.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in social work or psychology and a minimum of three years' experience working therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced trauma. You will also have a demonstrated understanding and experience working within theoretical and therapeutic approaches relevant to the work of both RAIFSS and NYS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Casework Management: Participate in program and service planning, review monitoring, and evaluation activities to ensure efficient, effective, and appropriate service provision.
- Leadership and Guidance: Provide coaching, mentoring, and motivating team members to achieve program goals, including assisting with induction of new staff and supporting staff in case discussions.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Foster strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct risk assessments relating to suicidal ideation and child protection concerns, and liaise with managers to ensure client safety.
- Program Development and Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of programs and services, including identifying opportunities for growth and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements:
- Relevant Qualifications: Possess a relevant degree in social work or psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: Have at least three years' experience working therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced trauma.
- Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding of theoretical and therapeutic approaches relevant to the work of both RAIFSS and NYS, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
