Senior Practitioner Role Overview">

The Senior Practitioner will provide high-level support to the program manager in various areas including case management, mentoring, and supervision. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in therapeutic services and a strong background in social work or psychology.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with diverse clientele and service providers. They will also have a demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed practice and child development principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case management for clients accessing RAIFSS services
  • Mentoring and supervising team members
  • Supporting program managers with eligibility screening, intakes, and reporting
  • Coaching and motivating team members to achieve program goals
  • Maintaining comprehensive client records and ensuring confidentiality
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possession of a relevant degree in social work or psychology
  • Minimum three years' experience working therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced trauma
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience working within theoretical and therapeutic approaches relevant to the work of RAIFSS
  • Highly developed communication skills for working with culturally diverse clientele
  • Knowledge of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
