Job Title: English Language Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and passionate English language teacher to join our school community.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher of English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) to work with students who require additional support in developing their English language skills. As an EAL/D teacher, you will be responsible for delivering targeted interventions to support students in achieving academic success.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons to students requiring EAL/D support, using a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate learners.

  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to develop and implement adjusted teaching programs and assessment strategies that cater to the needs of EAL/D students.

  • Contribute to the development of whole-school programs and initiatives that promote student engagement and success.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications:

  • Approval to teach EAL/D students or currently undertaking or enrolled in EAL/D qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.

  • Strong organisational skills and the capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate teaching programs and assessment strategies.

  • Highly developed ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and outside agencies, and contribute to faculty and whole-school programs.
