This role requires a unique blend of IT and Telecommunications skills, particularly in directing the Army's advanced artillery equipment on the battlefield. The ideal candidate will be able to handle physical and mental challenges while working in a dynamic environment.

As an Artillery Systems Operator, you play a critical role in the success of Artillery missions. You will use high-tech equipment to gather intelligence and paint a clear picture of the battlefield.

You'll work as part of a close-knit team to identify targets, coordinate and direct ammunition fire from various advanced weapons systems.

No experience is required, and you'll learn to use a combination of high-tech drones, radars and satellites to direct the artillery, mortar, helicopter and naval fire ships.

You'll also get your hands on advanced digital mapping technology, where you'll receive and transmit battlefield intelligence.

This is an IT focused role with a difference - no two days are the same and you'll always be close to the action.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Requirements:

  • Australian Citizenship
  • Over 17 years old at the time of enlistment
  • Completed Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics
