Australian Military Historian

We are seeking experienced historians to create and review historically accurate content about Australian military service. The successful candidate will work within the Community Engagement's History Team and Anzac Portal Team.
The History Team develops commemorative resources to raise awareness among the broader community, while supporting departmental services including speech writing, fact checking, and professional guidance on representing military history matters.
The Portal Team manages the design, development, maintenance, and promotion of the Anzac Portal website, delivering commemorative, historical, and educational resources to secondary school students and senior Australians.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the Teams' work in creating and reviewing content for Ministers, executive, and the community, as well as managing competing priorities and projects with fixed deadlines.
Requirements:
- A Masters or PhD qualification focusing on an aspect of Australian military history is highly desirable.
- Experience as a digital content writer is highly desirable.
