Clinical Research Assistant

**Job Description**

The role of a Clinical Research Assistant is to provide critical support to our research operations and clinical trials undertaken at our cancer treatment centre in South Brisbane.

This opportunity enables you to be involved in change within our research team at a site level and complement a growing trials portfolio. As a Clinical Research Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting research activities at the site, working closely with monitors for ongoing monitoring at site and facilitating remote visits.

Key responsibilities include collecting, processing and dispatching samples and other materials required by clinical research protocols, preparing patient visit requirements, assisting in appointment scheduling and external hospital liaison for tissue requirements or medical information.

You will also provide support to the research staff in relation to clinical trial administration tasks, provide support to investigators conducting clinical trials by ensuring trial documentation is prepared and ready for their review/sign off, manage investigator site files and essential documents as per GCP, facilitate the attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original and accurate collection of source data, and occasionally travel between our clinics as needed to support the conduct and oversight of cross-clinic research activity.

About You

Applicants should have the ability to manage their workload and build professional relationships with various healthcare professionals at your assigned clinic. You will also be able to independently solve problems and have great team skills.

Mandatory requirements include a relevant undergraduate degree in health sciences, nursing or allied health field or working towards one of these qualifications, excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, proficiency in MS office suite and database management, and experience in pathology / laboratory processing beneficial but not mandatory.
