We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our Storage Equipment Division and Integrated Systems Group teams in Belrose. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing storage equipment solutions for premier client sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Support our Storage Equipment Division and Structural Engineering teams during all phases of projects, including sales, structural design, detailed engineering, and installation.
- Review and develop structural designs at system and component level with consideration to safe operation, the environment, and product/system sustainability.
- Manage budgets and design schedules for assigned projects and report status to the Project Manager and Director Structural Engineering.
- Support product design and testing for internal product development.
- Assist sales team in developing and reviewing racking and structural design concepts.
- Liaise closely with our onsite manufacturing team to ensure on-time delivery of quality products.
- Work with purchasing team to ensure purchased products and services meet required specifications.
- Liaising with our other Engineering teams, Site Managers, Quality and Safety team, sub-contractors, client, and Colby rack distributors to ensure that projects run smoothly.
- Support the Director Structural Engineering and Director Storage Equipment Division by attending concept and technical reviews as required.
- Ensure compliance with structural engineering processes and systems.
- Minimum 3 years Structural Engineering experience.
- Qualifications in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Experience in the Design of Cold Form Steel Structures.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia.
- Experience working in the material handling industry would be highly regarded.
- Capability in AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Expertise in or a strong willingness to learn Tekla Structures.
- Experience in building and/or architectural design coordination.
- An interest in and aptitude for software development to support structural engineering calculations would be highly regarded.
