Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Education Operations Specialist to join our team at YMCA Brisbane. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vocational school, supporting both students and staff members.

About the Role
  • This is a permanent full-time position based at our Ipswich campus in QLD.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing effective communication in front desk operations between staff, parents, visitors, and students.
  • Handling administrative tasks such as student attendance record-keeping, incident reports, enrolments, and departures.
  • Adhering to various regulations and standards, keeping track of compliance requirements and preparing reports accurately and on time.
  • Planning and executing events, meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities with strong organisational skills to ensure they run smoothly.
  • SUPPORTING THE SCHOOL'S FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDING PETTY CASH, BANKING, PROCESSING PAYMENTS AND ORDERS, RECEIPTING, RECONCILING INVOICES FOR PAYMENT, AND FOLLOW-UP ON LATE PAYMENTS.
  • Assisting and training other staff and volunteers where needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Business or equivalent, coupled with experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive willingness to use your initiative to complete tasks and workloads.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, with occasional events or activities outside of these hours.
