Employment Services and Program Director

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced leader to oversee our national portfolio of Employment Services.

This is a hands-on role responsible for the end-to-end operational management of our Workforce Australia and Transition to Work programs.

You'll ensure programs are delivered efficiently, meet contractual and compliance requirements, and achieve strong performance outcomes.

Working closely with the Executive General Manager, you'll translate strategic direction into operational execution—leading regional teams, managing service delivery frameworks, and embedding continuous improvement to drive real outcomes for jobseekers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting the operational vision and driving excellence across national employment programs
  • Inspiring teams through strong leadership, coaching, and workforce development, while driving accountability for meeting KPIs and delivering exceptional service outcomes
  • Growing the business through strategic tendering, diversification, and funding opportunities
  • Fostering key relationships with government, employers, and community partners
  • Managing budgets and resources to ensure high-performing, sustainable services

This is a fixed-term, full-time position for two years, ideally based at our Southport Head Office on the Gold Coast. We're open to discussing other South-East Queensland locations for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of senior leadership within employment services
  • Expertise in the outsourced Employment Services sector, including funding models, compliance requirements, and performance expectations
  • Strategic and agile leadership, with a proven ability to navigate a dynamic and evolving employment services landscape
  • Proven track record in achieving KPIs, meeting contractual obligations, and driving business performance in a compliance-driven environment
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in budget management, financial planning, and resource optimisation to ensure sustainability and growth
  • Confident communicator with deep stakeholder and government engagement skills
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Check with no disclosable outcomes and Blue Card
