Culturally Safe Mental Health Practitioner

Job Description: We acknowledge the historical and ongoing trauma experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and we are committed to reconciliation.
As an Aboriginal Mental Health Worker, you will work with children, young people, and their families to provide high-quality culturally appropriate mental health assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation services.
You will develop and implement culturally safe emergency care pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, ensuring timely access to appropriate services.
Our team is dedicated to improving outcomes for our mob, increasing early help seeking, reducing prevalence of crises, and improving pathways and supports across the lifespan in partnership with Aboriginal people, their communities, and Aboriginal community organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of a cultural healing model of care service across the lifespan.
- Provide clinical yarning and cultural consultation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families.
- Develop and implement culturally safe emergency care pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
