Role Overview

This position is part of a multidisciplinary environment, delivering mental health services across various settings.

About the Role
  • You will provide mental health nursing services, progressing from competent to proficient practitioner while mentoring less experienced staff.

In addition to clinical focus, you will assume responsibilities that align with your career development goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based, recovery-oriented mental health services addressing consumer and community needs.
  • Enhance skills through continuous professional development while providing integrated care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings.
  • Engage in individual and family therapies, group programs, and health promotion initiatives.

As you progress from novice to proficient practitioner, you'll be accountable for your nursing standards and activities delegated to others.

Requirements
  • RN/M2C: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Must hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in Mental Health practice.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and Immunisation compliance. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
