About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Solicitor to join our Corporate Solicitors Office. As a key member of our team, you will provide legal support to the Health Division and other parts of Wesfarmers' retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with business stakeholders to provide sound and commercially astute legal advice
  • Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial legal documentation
  • Providing advice on regulatory matters related to the pharmaceutical and health industries and retail businesses
  • Engaging and managing external legal advisers
  • Educating team members on legal developments

Requirements

  • At least 8 years post admission experience with commercial and corporate legal experience across a broad range of issues
  • Proven experience in working with businesses to arrive at commercial outcomes
  • Demonstrated capability in advising on commercial contracts, privacy and health legal issues, and competition and consumer law
  • Ability to prioritise in a busy environment and adopt a pragmatic approach to ensure a quick turnaround when providing advice
  • Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication capabilities
  • Be humble and a team player
  • A curiosity to learn and develop new skills
