About the Role

The Assistant Policy Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the development and delivery of policy and strategic projects within the Inclusion and Wellbeing Directorate. This position involves undertaking research, analysis, reporting, stakeholder engagement, implementation, and administrative activities to ensure the successful execution of policy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of policy and strategic projects, including research, analysis, and reporting.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate policy objectives and provide avenues for feedback.
  • Manage program data and project documentation to ensure accurate status reporting and delivery of policy and/or projects.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Teams to complete tasks, implement project plans, and communicate with the project team and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and programs that maximize access, inclusion, and wellbeing of students in education.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
  • Valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
