As we represent one of our longest-standing clients, a national underwriting agency excelling in Professional Indemnity and General Liability, we are seeking an Assistant Underwriter to support their growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficient administration support to the Underwriting team, ensuring seamless policy processing.
  • Send renewal invitations to brokers and process non-express renewals.
  • Process new policies and policy renewals, including preparation of Certificates of Currency and related document management.
  • Monitor outstanding and upcoming renewals and new business, maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage broker information and online system log-ins.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through phone and email communication.

Requirements:

  • A professional and positive attitude, with a can-do approach.
  • High-level attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new software.
  • Strong sense of accountability and commitment to quality work.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a small team.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Background in underwriting, preferably in Professional Indemnity, with other classes considered.
  • Strong administration experience, with a focus on policy processing and customer service.
