CSSD Manager

Our CSSD department is seeking an experienced leader to manage our perioperative team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sterile services, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate their team towards a common goal.

We are looking for a highly organized individual with exceptional attention to detail, who can ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practices in the CSSD specialty area.

The successful candidate will be part of a high acuity surgical site, offering a centre of excellence in complex surgery with a reputation for clinical safety, innovation, and outstanding patient outcomes.

We collaborate closely with other healthcare providers in the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct, creating a dynamic and progressive work environment.

As a leading private hospital in NSW, we offer a centre of excellence in orthopaedics, neurosurgery, gynaecology & general surgery, and are also one of NSW's premier maternity hospitals, caring for over 1,600 expectant families each year.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend operational management meetings for the current CSSD Department within the Perioperative Services area.
  • Act as an advocate for our Quality Management System and promote a safe work environment.
  • Support your team to achieve streamlined operational management.
  • Evaluate compliance with relevant standards and best practices in the CSSD specialty area.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4–5 years' experience in a senior role within a CSSD environment.
  • A Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation from an accredited provider.
  • Australian Work Rights.
  • Solid knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including MS Office and databases.
  • An interest in promoting best practice patient care.
  • A focus on professional development.
