Senior Data Governance Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with leading Microsoft engineers, architects, and security specialists on high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy data governance solutions ensuring seamless data classification, retention, and compliance.
  • Develop automation workflows to streamline governance processes using PowerShell, Python, or APIs.
  • Align Purview with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) to enhance security postures.
  • Conduct risk assessments, compliance audits, and ongoing optimization of Purview policies and configurations.
  • Work closely with clients to define data security strategies and provide guidance on best practices.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with data classification, sensitivity labeling, insider risk management, and retention policies.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, and Azure governance tools.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or automation tools for scripting and policy enforcement.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and Zero Trust security models.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, Essential Eight, etc.
