Maintenance Manager

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance of our facilities is carried out in a timely and effective manner. Reporting to the National Manager – Property Services, you will be responsible for managing contractors, scheduling maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Management: Ensure a safe environment exists for staff, residents, clients, volunteers, and visitors by adhering to policies and procedures, and ensuring documentation meets accreditation standards.
- Contractor Management: Manage contractors, including scheduling, inductions, and ensuring service agreements are in place.
- Preventative Maintenance: Contribute to the development of the Preventative Maintenance Program, ensuring work requests are responded to competently and within agreed timeframes.
- Documentation: Document works performed accurately and efficiently.
- Training and Development: Attend mandatory and non-mandatory training and apply learning to improve service delivery and comply with industry requirements.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with management and other staff.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage the maintenance budget.
- Commitment to Values: Commit to engaging and aligning with HammondCare's Christian mission, motivation, and mission in action.
- Trade Qualification: Hold a trade qualification relevant to the construction or facility maintenance industries.
- Experience: Have a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar field.
- Certifications: Hold a valid NSW White card and driver's license.
- Skills: Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage complex and competing priorities, apply initiative and creative problem-solving, and have intermediate MS Office Suite skills.
