The Executive Branch Manager, Statutory Assessments will lead the Development Assessment Branch, responsible for regulatory and delegated statutory assessment decision-making functions of the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate.
This role reports directly to the Executive Group Manager and ACT Chief Planner, Statutory Planning, and provides support in leading the wider Statutory Planning Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Development Assessment Branch in making regulatory and delegated statutory assessment decisions.
- Provide executive leadership and support to the Statutory Planning Division.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders.
- Lead and deliver large-scale projects within set timeframes.
- Develop and implement change management strategies.
Requirements:
- Exceptional judgement and risk engagement skills.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts.
- Determined focus on finding great solutions for the Canberra community.
- Experience in territory planning, development decision-making processes, and land management processes.
- High-level communication skills.
What We Offer:
- A remuneration package ranging from $265,492 - $276,106 depending on the current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant.
- A performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years.
