Employment Coach Role

This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives by helping them overcome career challenges and achieve their employment goals.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Coach who will actively engage with participants to identify their strengths, interests, and values. You will work collaboratively with community organisations to create opportunities for participants and assist in developing effective job search strategies, including resume writing and interview preparation.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide one-to-one coaching sessions to participants, assessing their career needs and creating personalised action plans
- Conduct career assessments and help clients identify their strengths, interests, and values to guide their employment goals
- Work collaboratively with community organisations to create opportunities for participants
- Assist participants in developing effective job search strategies, including resume writing and interview preparation

Requirements

- 2+ years experience in customer service, client facing or an administrative role
- Time management, organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise in order to achieve outcomes
- Excellent communication skills with well-developed verbal, and written skills, and the ability to conduct client assessments, developing case plans and case notes and reports
- Interpersonal conflict resolution and negotiation skills along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions to problems
