The role of Configuration Manager will be central to managing configuration data and technical documentation that inform the lifecycle management of Australia's Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle fleet.

As part of our team, you will ensure accurate configuration control, enable maintenance planning, support upgrades, and contribute to operational readiness by maintaining data integrity and compliance with Defence policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing comprehensive configuration control processes throughout their lifecycle, including baseline establishment, change management, and audit support.
  • Overseeing vehicle technical data packages, configuration records, and maintenance history to support sustainment and upgrade activities.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering, sustainment, logistics, and operational teams to ensure configuration data validates vehicle readiness and supports Defence operational requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in data and configuration management within the Defence sector, preferably with armoured combat vehicle systems or similar complex military platforms.
  • Strong proficiency with Configuration Management Tools such as TeamCentre and experience with Defence asset and maintenance management systems (AMPS, SCPM).
  • Deep knowledge of Defence Configuration Management frameworks and Land Systems Branch policies, with a clear understanding of vehicle lifecycle sustainment.
