Assistant Winemaker Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our winemaking team as an Assistant Winemaker. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of winery operations.

This fixed-term position will provide you with the chance to work closely with our experienced winemakers, learning about production, quality control, and cellar management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with fruit delivery and processing procedures to ensure high-quality grapes make it into our wines.
  • Support the winemaking process by managing sparkling, white, and red wine fermentation, ensuring optimal flavor and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cellar environment, adhering to strict health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with our lab team on regular lab work, providing valuable insights into wine development.
Requirements:
  • Degree in winemaking or related field from a reputable institution.
  • Prior experience in a cellar environment, preferably gained through multiple vintages.
  • Career-driven individual with a passion for winemaking and a strong desire to learn and grow within our organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and strong work ethic essential for success in this role.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, work independently, and multitask effectively.
  • Hold current Australian forklift and driver's license.
