About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to our residents. The successful candidate will ensure the provision of excellent care by demonstrating professional practice and providing supervision to Personal Care Assistants (PCAs). They will empower residents to do as much as they can for themselves, promoting independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing aged care residents and formulating care plans in accordance with Commonwealth, State, and Territory legislation and nursing practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with residential aged care standards, AN-ACC requirements, Occupational Health and Safety, food safety, and other professional legislative requirements.
  • Providing effective communication and compassionately interacting with residents, families, employees, and volunteers.
  • Working collaboratively with PCAs to deliver exceptional care and support services.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, with relevant qualifications and experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience as an RN is required for this role.
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work without supervision and be self-motivated.
  • Proficiency in utilising information technology, including well-developed computer skills with MS Office.

The successful incumbent will be flexible and available to work across day, afternoon, and evening shifts during the week and on weekends.

Salary:

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
