A leading Australian Steel manufacturer is seeking a Product Quality Engineer to join our Product Innovation team based in Port Kembla. This role is part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio with six major manufacturing sites delivering products and services to customers.

We manufacture and supply steel for building, distribution, and manufacturing applications. As a Product Quality Engineer, you will focus on painted product quality and performance working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

In this essential role, you will grow technically and as a leader, supporting the continuous production, reliability, and quality of our painted products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support painted product quality through process improvements and ensure product standards
  • Provide technical support on paint lines striving for business improvements and manufacturing excellence
  • Assess and analyze data, identifying opportunities to enhance painted product performance
  • Collaborate within the manufacturing plant to ensure painted product quality
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in materials or chemical engineering
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment operational, process, or technical
  • A commitment to safety and wellbeing of yourself and others
  • Developed communication and influencing skills to build relationships
