About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Front of House Assistant to join our team at Bowler Cafe in Myrtle Bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality service delivery, working as part of the cafe team and within relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in serving quality cafe meals for residents, staff, visitors, and functions
  • Undertake general kitchen duties
  • Liaise with staff of all levels, particularly the cafe team, residents, visitors, and the general public
  • Assist other members of the cafe team as required
  • Participate in activities that measure the quality standards and residents' satisfaction of the catering services
  • Support and provide guidance to new team members
Requirements
  • Holds responsible Serving of Alcohol Certificate
  • Experience in the preparation, delivery, and serving of meals, including barista experience
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow policy, procedures, and other guidelines and standards
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build strong internal relationships and contribute to a positive working environment
  • Applicants with a relevant qualification in Health support services and/or Food safety will be highly regarded
