We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caregiving Assistant to join our team at Northcott.

About the Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment, providing high-quality care to individuals with disabilities. As a Caregiving Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting customers with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support: Assist customers with their daily needs, including personal care, feeding, medication management, and other health-related activities.
  • Support independence: Help customers develop and maintain their independence by assisting with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Communicate effectively: Maintain open and respectful communication with customers, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent: Hold a relevant qualification in aged care or have completed an accredited training program.
  • Experience in manual handling: Possess experience in manual handling, including hoist operation and repositioning techniques.
  • Medication administration: Be able to administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals and maintain accurate records.
  • Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and evenings.
