Job Opportunity for Speech Pathologist

This is a locum position for an experienced hospital speech pathologist. The role requires the successful candidate to work in a subacute/rehab caseload.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults and be able to manage their workload effectively, prioritizing tasks and making clear decisions. They will also be responsible for independently assessing, planning, recommending and implementing speech pathology services to inpatients recovering from trauma, surgery, acute illness, neurological deficits and more.

Caseload Responsibilities:

  • Adult sub-acute/rehab - assessment and intervention with adult hospital populations.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience in the management of adults with disorders of communication and swallowing within a hospital setting.
  • Videofluoroscopy competency is highly regarded.

Benefits:

  • Accommodation is provided in dedicated allied health houses within walking distance of the hospital, inclusive of all bills.
  • There is the option for a six month contract (with accommodation) or permanent role.
  • Locum rates are paid weekly.

This role would suit an experienced speech pathologist with strong clinical skills within a hospital setting. The service requires candidates with collaborative and supportive communication skills.
