The Opportunity

Hitachi is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Coordinator - New Build to join our team in Wacol. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of new machines on time and to a quality standard, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Management: Review and set project schedules based on sales department priorities, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
  • Procurement and Logistics: Manage the procurement of parts and resources, ensuring sufficient inventory to meet build volume requirements
  • Contractor Management: Engage and onboard new contractors, ensuring inductions are completed and all company documentation is supplied and completed prior to work commencing
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress against schedules and modify schedules as required to ensure timely delivery
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve current planning practices and implement new processes to drive business growth and efficiency
  • WHS Compliance: Ensure compliance with the company's WHS policy and identify opportunities to improve

Requirements:

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of project coordination and scheduling
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly
