Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Toowoomba. As a key member of our civil design arm, you will be responsible for project management and technical input to design.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project management of civil designs and provision of technical input to the design team.
  2. Analysis and preparation of technical reports for stormwater management, pavement, and surfacing projects.
  3. Inspections of works in progress to verify compliance against design.
  4. Administration of construction contracts.
  5. Liaising and coordination with colleagues, clients, subconsultants, and contractors.
  6. Mentoring less experienced staff.
  7. Scoping of projects and preparation of fee proposals.
  8. Communication across all levels and interpretation of client needs.
Requirements:
  • Australian experience in a relevant civil engineering area.
  • Recognised Civil Engineering degree by Engineers Australia.
  • Detailed knowledge of Austroads design requirements for geometric design of rural and urban roads.
  • Experience with DRAINS, CIRCLY, WaterCad software packages.
  • High degree of organisation and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and demonstrated written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising with team members, senior staff, utility authorities, government departments, contractors, and clients.
