As a Technical Compliance Assurance Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a small team of specialists who provide planning, management, technical governance, and assurance expertise in support of key aviation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide aviation technical support and services
  • External service provider governance and oversight
  • Review and assessment of Maintenance, Technical, Engineering and/or Logistics reporting, data and information
  • Review and assessment of external service provider deliverables
  • Legislative, regulatory and policy compliance
  • Identification, assessment and communication of technical airworthiness, capability and program/business risks
  • Liaison with and between internal and external stakeholders
  • Military Airworthiness Reviews on Navy managed aircraft

About Our Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG)

CASG is responsible for supporting current Navy Aviation capabilities while developing and supporting new technologies into the future.

Our team works collaboratively to meet capability needs. To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in aviation maintenance engineering industry either in a mechanical or avionics stream meeting the requirements to issue of a Military Airworthiness Review Certificate.

Additionally, you will have a demonstrated understanding of and experience working within and auditing an engineering and/or technical quality management system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in aviation maintenance engineering industry
  • Understanding of and experience working within and auditing an engineering and/or technical quality management system
  • Ability to analyse information for continuous improvement opportunities, resolve problems and implement alternative course of action
  • Ability to coordinate, monitor and report on governance compliance identify risk and determine appropriate course of action to meet stakeholders needs in accordance with governance and policy requirements
  • Ability to take the initiative to suggest improvements to quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure appropriate performance against best practice
  • Motivated, resilient, proactive and energetic self-starter who is supportive in a team environment
  • Excellent communicator who can quickly absorb detail and disseminate information across the internal and external organisations to develop and foster stakeholder relationships
