Sweeper Operator in Wollongong with MR/HR Licence

We are seeking experienced Sweeper Operators to fulfill our service obligations in Wollongong. This role is based at our Operations in Russell Vale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and operate a Sweeper truck to maintain specified road networks, supporting commercial and infrastructure projects for Local and State Governments and the private sector.
  • Perform routine checks of the vehicle in compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Laws and Company regulations.
  • Ensure safety and quality requirements are met, involving some manual labour (leaf blower, rake, shovel, etc.).
  • Operate left-hand drive equipment including HINO trucks and MacDonald Johnston/Bucher Municipal sweepers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Mandatory: MR/HR truck licence.
  • Able to work night shifts; occasional travel away from the Wollongong region.
  • Good physical fitness level and ability to alight from the vehicle multiple times daily; some manual handling involved.
  • Must pass a full medical check and hold an Industry (Work Cover) White/Blue card for construction.
  • Previous experience advantageous but not mandatory; suitable candidates may be trained.
Benefits
  • Night pay rates range from $47-50/hr during normal evening hours, with overtime rates applying after 8 hours and on weekends.
  • Living away from home allowances apply when travelling.
