We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our parks team in Rydalmere.

**Job Overview:**

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in delivering horticultural services and maintaining parks and open spaces.

This includes conducting inspections of parks and facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards and minimizing liability risks.

The role also involves executing tasks necessary for the management and maintenance of assets and facilities, adapting to changing priorities, and supporting other teams during emergencies or adverse weather conditions.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist the Team Leader in providing high-quality horticultural services and maintaining parks and open spaces.

- Conduct regular inspections of parks and facilities to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

- Execute tasks necessary for the effective management and maintenance of assets and facilities.

- Adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.

- Provide input for improving procedures, programs, and work schedules.

- Ensure accurate completion of administrative tasks and proficiency in Council's software and technology.

- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

**Requirements:**

- Hold a current NSW Driver's License (C Class, MR Class).

- Possess a construction industry certificate ('White Card').

- Awareness of asbestos handling procedures.

- Traffic control License TCR, IMP (desirable).

- Additional qualifications in chainsaw operations and horticulture preferred.

- Experience in the maintenance of parks and open spaces.

- Physically capable of performing the required tasks in the role.
