Role Summary:

As a Dietitian, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality clinical nutrition and dietetic services. Your practice will be guided by evidence-based clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nutrition and dietetic services to patients on an individual or group level for both inpatients and outpatients
  • Coordinate special dietary requirements of patients
  • Consult with medical, nursing, catering, and allied health professionals within the Division and external agencies
  • Inform menu development and compliance with hospital nutritional standards through consultation with the hospital catering service
  • Document patients' medical nutrition therapy
  • Participate in multidisciplinary activities, such as team meetings, ward rounds, and case conferences
  • Deliver education programs within the dietetics service and for other caregiver groups
  • Develop and review dietary education resources
  • Supervise, instruct, and assess dietetic students in approved clinical teaching programs

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess a tertiary qualification in Dietetics, eligibility for full membership with a professional association, and evidence of Accredited Practising Dietitian status.
