Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Clinical Governance and Education Lead. This position requires an experienced Registered Nurse Educator who can work effectively within the Clinical Governance Department.

As the successful candidate, you will report to the Clinical Education and Infection Prevention Control Manager and focus on driving the design and implementation of clinical education programs that support high-quality, evidence-based care aligned with our strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, support and educate staff on clinical topics, promote and participate in a culture of learning and development, and foster system-wide improvement.
  • Consult with clinical leaders to address clinical risks by improving clinical systems & processes through provision of education and training.
  • Oversee safe medication management, support regulatory compliance and sound clinical governance, and collaborate with the L&D department to implement the clinical education strategic plan.

To succeed in this challenging role, you must have effective leadership skills, excellent clinical decision making, critical thinking, and well-developed written and verbal communication skills. You should also possess the ability to prepare, deliver, and evaluate clinical education programs across multiple sites, as well as source relevant literature and legislation.

Essential Criteria:

  • Hold current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willing to obtain) or Diploma of Training Design and Development or Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years post graduate clinical experience within aged care and a minimum of 3 years' experience as a trainer/educator.
  • Ability to travel across sites as per operational requirements.
