Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery and receipt of goods while adhering to regulatory and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing transparency in logistics operations.
- Manage purchase orders to ensure timely processing and fulfillment, maintaining efficient inventory and stock levels.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring efficient and timely logistics operations.
- Implement strategies to optimize internal and external logistics operations, reducing travel distances and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Ensure that all data related to logistics and inventory management is accurately recorded in the system, supporting data-driven decision-making and reporting.
- Contribute to the production reporting process by providing key logistics insights, supporting performance analysis and the achievement of KPIs.
- Act as the liaison between plant management and logistics teams, promoting effective communication and ensuring alignment on production and logistics priorities.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Experience in a busy site administration role.
- Some exposure to an industrial environment would be an advantage.
- Previous experience in purchasing / stock control.
- Experience working with SAP or like system;
- The ability to work with minimal supervision, using initiative to get the job done.
- High level of computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint with exposure to SAP ideal.
- Strong communication skills with aptitude to build strong working relationships with a wide range of people.
- Exceptional organisation skills and strong attention to detail, with systematic and timely follow-through.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks / projects and operate well under pressure.
