Job Description

A Financial Services Specialist is required to join a well-established and boutique accounting firm in the Northern Suburbs. This position offers an ideal opportunity for a Senior Accountant seeking a challenging role within a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Holistically manage a set of small business clients, providing expert financial guidance and support.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and tax returns for clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and lodgement of BAS/IAS returns, maintaining accurate records and adhering to deadlines.
  • Review and approve completed work of junior staff members, providing constructive feedback and guidance as needed.
  • Offer assistance to junior staff as required, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Requirements:

  • Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent, with a minimum of 4.5 years' experience in business services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
