Job Role: Mental Health Support Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team in providing support and assistance to individuals and families facing various challenges.

About the Role
This role focuses on providing support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns. You will work as part of schools' established student support teams to enhance wellbeing and mental health support available to students.
You will provide professional support and information for students, parents, carers, and school communities to facilitate partnerships in decision-making for the enhancement of all students' learning.
You will use evidence-based intervention strategies to support young people experiencing challenges with mental health, social and emotional wellbeing, and provide therapeutic counselling and support through individual or group sessions.
You will also facilitate referrals to other allied health professionals and services, assist students and families to access this support, and support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and/or maintain appropriate data collection and confidential records-keeping and reporting systems for individual students referred for social work services in line with department procedures and policies.
- Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team within an educational setting, providing support to school, community, and inter-agency/networks relevant to the position.
