About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal Water Resources Engineer to join our dynamic Water Resources team in Sydney. As a key member of KBR, you will be at the forefront of significant multidisciplinary projects, working with a diverse network of clients, stakeholders, and skilled professionals.

This role will allow you to shape the technical direction of projects, identify and mitigate risks, and drive innovative solutions for wetland projects from concept to detailed design and construction.

Collaborating with a national team of Water Resources practitioners, you will have access to a broad range of projects across various industries. You will also have opportunities to take on roles in project management and business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical direction of water resources projects, including stormwater management and wetland design.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions for complex water resources projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with water resources projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient in using software such as MUSIC or other stormwater quality modeling tools.
  • Strong experience with GIS applications like QGIS, ArcGIS, and MapInfo.
  • Expertise in WSUD projects, including designing stormwater treatment systems, waterway corridor rehabilitation, and stormwater harvesting and reuse.
  • Solid background in hydrological and hydraulic modeling, including experience with RORB and TUFLOW.
  • Additional skills such as proficiency in CAD applications and Python coding are beneficial.
