Role Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Aboriginal Health Professional to join our healthcare team. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with nursing staff and health professionals to provide seamless, timely, and effective care to Aboriginal clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient-centered care to Aboriginal clients in contact with the criminal justice and forensic mental health systems.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery of culturally safe and effective healthcare services.
  • Support clients on their journey throughout custody back into community, particularly those with chronic or complex health conditions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Holds or aspires to hold a minimum Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care.
  • Eligible to drive in NSW and willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is preferred but not essential for Aboriginal Health Workers willing to obtain Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice).
