About the Role

We're seeking an Information Services Officer to join our team and contribute to shaping the employment landscape. As a key player in this role, you'll be responsible for providing administrative and project support within the Information Management section.

This involves resolving information management and library services queries, performing records management and library services tasks, and providing mailroom support when required.

  • Handle queries via the helpdesk and ServiceNow platform, including creating incident and service requests, and prioritising tasks to achieve outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Perform general administration tasks upon request, using established standard operating procedures to complete tasks in reasonable timeframes.
  • Support Library Services, including managing subscriptions, identifying and retrieving articles, and processing circulation requests.
  • Assist with special projects, such as the appraisal and disposal of physical records and the weeding of library physical resources under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Elevate complex tasks to senior staff and track those tasks to completion.
  • Provide mailroom support, such as processing of daily mail and freight items, when required.
Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses:

  • Handling queries and requests from various stakeholders.
  • Providing administrative support, including data entry, document preparation, and record management.
  • Collaborating with the Library Services team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Participating in special projects and initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Maintaining accurate records and tracking progress on assigned tasks.
Requirements

To succeed in this position, you'll need:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
