Job Description:

As an Information Security Specialist, you will be responsible for a range of cyber security, policy and ICT system administration skills and experience to equip you for the responsibilities of this role.

The role entails various duties including but not limited to:

  • Providing advice and guidance on contemporary Australian Government and Defence cyber and protective security policies;
  • Developing and maintaining cyber security related policies specific to Defence;
  • Managing and auditing network access requests at HQ Army Aviation Command;
  • Supporting senior leadership to monitor and direct all aspects of standalone system security;
  • Undertaking security assessments on complex technical ICT issues and formulating timely and accurate advice.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

You will need to have a broad range of cyber security, policy and ICT system administration skills and experience to excel in this role. Key requirements include:

  • Strong research and analytical skills with ability to provide timely and accurate advice;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage with senior stakeholders;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the delivery of strategic objectives;
  • Strong understanding of cyber and protective security policies and procedures;
  • Experience with ICT systems and networks.
