Job Overview

In this critical payroll management role, you will collaborate closely with our business unit to execute weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly pay runs accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • We perform weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll processing including ad-hoc pay runs.
  • Partner with the business unit to develop a comprehensive understanding of roles, awards, and pay complexities.
  • Analyze and audit all payrolls to ensure compliance with legislative and award requirements.
  • Participate in system upgrade projects and continually improve payroll processes.
  • Liaise with HR on employee appointments, terminations, remuneration, and other relevant matters.
  • A range of other ad-hoc payroll duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of proven experience as a payroll officer within a medium to large-sized organization.
  • Strong experience in EA / Modern Award interpretation.
  • Experience with medium-sized payroll and time and attendance systems like Ceridian (Preceda) and Kronos.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Intermediate Excel and Outlook skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
