About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Research Scientist to join our team at Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd - D81. As a key member of our Generative Artificial Intelligence team, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and developing cutting-edge generative AI algorithms to address real-world challenges.

In this role, you will collaborate with scientists and engineers to understand customer adoption patterns for generative AI and share best practices across our organization. You will also interact with customers directly to understand their business problems and help them implement generative AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop state-of-the-art generative AI algorithms to address real-world challenges
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to understand customer adoption patterns for generative AI
  • Interact with customers directly to understand their business problems and help them implement generative AI solutions
  • Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, and presentations to technical, business, and executive stakeholders

About You:

  • 2+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications experience
  • Master's degree in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent quantitative field
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl
  • Proven knowledge of deep learning and experience hosting and deploying ML solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent quantitative field
  • Working knowledge of generative AI and hands-on experience in prompt engineering, deploying, and hosting Large Foundational Models
  • Hands-on experience building models with deep learning frameworks like Tensorflow, PyTorch, or MXNet
