We are seeking a collaborative and dedicated individual to join our Teaching, Learning and Inclusion Teams as a Teacher Aide in a supportive school environment.


As a Teacher Aide with the YMCA Brisbane, you will be working closely with teachers, students, and parents to support learning activities and administrative duties. You will be part of a vibrant and active community organisation that aims to make a positive difference in the lives of our members and the broader community.


About the role


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a small team and establish productive partnerships to achieve educational outcomes. You will be responsible for displaying respect and empathy for students with high-level needs, supervising small groups of students, and adhering to all policies and procedures relating to safeguarding children and young people.


Key responsibilities



  • Supporting the delivery of literacy and numeracy intervention to be implemented throughout the school
  • Supporting the delivery of differentiated teaching, learning, and assessment plans offered to students
  • Assisting with data collection and collation to assess student progress in literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates, or willingness to obtain
  • Positive Notice Blue Card, or willingness to obtain
