This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission as a Transformation Consultant - Practice Development, providing practice supervision and guidance to employees.

You will facilitate reflective practice, explore ethical issues, develop skills, and foster employee wellbeing across the Homelessness, Housing, and Justice Programs.

The day-to-day activities involve:

  • Working closely with the Manager to drive professional practice development across assigned program areas.
  • Collaborating with teams to share ideas, insights, and best practices, enhancing practice development across SYC.
  • Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to staff, promoting a supportive work environment that fosters growth and development.
  • Supporting the effective implementation of the Practice Governance Framework in your program area(s).
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends, developments, and opportunities, monitoring and reporting relevant information.

About You

You will be a natural leader, playing a pivotal role in contributing to the development and implementation of best practices, aligning with the Practice Governance Framework, industry standards, client expectations, and organisational goals. You will possess exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate resources to meet program delivery and client needs within set deadlines.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in community services, preferably within housing, homelessness, justice, or youth services.
  • Ability to guide, motivate, and develop others using values-based coaching and advisory approaches driven by high standards.
  • Strong engagement skills and ability to interact effectively and sensitively with employees and teams to ensure delivery of high-quality services and supports.
  • Experience building relationships and collaborating successfully with various stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes for clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation such as emails, case notes, and reports.

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum (dependent on location)
