Role Summary

Senior Data Scientist is a key position in our organisation that requires a data science professional with expertise in extracting insights from complex data sets. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets, advanced statistical analysis and data visualisation tools.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team on a full-time fixed-term contract until 30 June 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively communicating data-driven insights through reports, presentations and dashboards. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive analytic plans, outlining methodologies, key metrics and objectives. Additionally, the role involves developing, maintaining and updating data documentation, including access manuals and data dictionaries.

  • Manage and maintain data documentation and systems
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in data science, statistics, biostatistics or a related field. A strong background in data management, data extraction from relational databases and data processing is essential. Proficiency in R programming language and data visualisation tools is also required. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders is necessary.
