We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Project Coordinator to join our Asset Development team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility.

As part of our Australian Steel Products portfolio, we operate six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla, delivering innovative solutions and services to export and domestic customers.

Coke production plays a crucial role in our manufacturing process, serving as an initial stage in the Steel making process. Coal transportation and refining are key steps in this process, with coal being refined into Coke and used as a key ingredient at the Blast Furnace.

As a member of the Asset Development team, you'll play a key role in supporting and managing diverse projects related to mechanical fabrication and fitting. Your responsibilities will involve stakeholder management, coordination and collaboration across project scope development, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and asset support to sustain performance.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Support major capital and R&M projects to drive continuous improvement of Coke plant assets.
  2. Be responsible for providing hands-on stakeholder management and coordination across project scope development, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and asset support.
