Heavy Vehicle Body Builder

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Vehicle Body Builder to join our dynamic smash repair facility.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping and restoring heavy vehicle exteriors to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bus body repair and hold relevant trade qualifications.

You will be required to fabricate, replicate, and repair the bodies of trailers, trucks, and fridges, as well as perform welding repairs with precision and accuracy.

Additionally, you will need to affiliate repair job sheets accurately, assess damage, and determine repair work, while also advising Parts Interpreters on any additional parts required.

Effective communication and decision-making skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Affiliate repair job sheets to accurately assess damage and determine repair work
  • Fabricate, replicate and repair the bodies of trailers, trucks and fridges to our high-quality standards
  • Perform welding repairs to a high standard
  • Advise Parts Interpreters of any additional parts required not originally quoted on the estimate
  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow
