As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be involved in industrial control system support (remote and onsite) across multiple industries and project delivery. The responsibilities of the role include:
- Control systems design and development deliverables across various projects.
- Participation in all phases of project delivery from concept to implementation, in-house testing, FAT, onsite commissioning, SAT, client handover, and client support.
- Technical management and contractual management to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and organisational policies.
- Use and continually improve company quality procedures to ensure consistent outcomes.
- Propose innovative solutions where established systems are unable to resolve problems.
- Provide technical support and mentoring for peers and junior engineers.
- Actively participate in maintaining a productive and friendly culture within the team.
- Process & manufacturing safety automation systems.
- OT Network design and configuration.
- Control standards, software application development, and simulation testing.
- Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Commissioning Plans.
- Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
- Control systems troubleshooting and support.
- Implementation of industrial PLC/RTU/HMI & SCADA systems on commonly used platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, Emerson, Omron, Red Lion).
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Tertiary or trade qualification in Engineering.
- General WHS Induction for Construction (White Card, Blue Card).
- Relevant experience in a similar industry or environment.
- Innovative problem-solving and approach to control system support.
- Experience with programming common industrial control systems (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, or Emerson).
- A self-starter who can arrange their own schedule and confidently liaise with clients.
- Ability for occasional travel for short periods.
- Driver's License.
- Experience with industrial networking and cyber security.
- Experience with common HMI/SCADA Platforms (Citect, GeoSCADA, Ignition, FactoryTalk, WinCC).
